2011 National Child Abuse & Neglect Data System (NCANDS) Report Released

Culled: "81.6 percent of all children killed were under four years of age.  78.3 % of fatalities were caused by parents.  Four-fifths of duplicated (counting incidents, not people) were parents; of the duplicated perpetrators who were parents, 87.6 percent were biological parents. Three fifths of duplicate victims received post response services."
