Become a Volunteer
Our Volunteers visit the children in the emergency shelter, provide childcare for Foster children during Foster parent trainings, watch over infants while their teenage mothers attend parenting classes, read to children in the Bookworms Reading program, educate young girls about societal issues as well as assist with special events to help support the agency.

Donate your old clothes, furniture, toys and home accessories to The Children's Shelter Thrift Store. All proceeds from the Thrift Store financially assist The Children's Shelter. The Children's Shelter Thrift Store is located at 1407 South St. Mary's.

Become a Business Buddy
Become a Business Buddy by donating your unwanted merchandise to The Children's Shelter! We are always in need of returned, damaged or un-sellable merchandise from retail businesses to sell at The Children's Shelter Thrift Store. The Thrift Store provides the community with affordable quality resale items while generating funds for the many programs at The Children's Shelter. Being a Business Buddy is simple: contact The Children's Shelter when you have merchandise to donate, they will pick the donation up within a week, and you will be acknowledged for your in-kind donation.
