Foster Care & Adoption

In the fall of 1966, Dr. Bayless invited a professional case worker to share with his class the ins-and-outs of the foster and adoption programs in their community. Seven days later, he and his wife Betty welcomed a red-headed infant into their home...and they never looked back. The couple values the importance of sharing a loving and nurturing home with children who have never experienced such. Forty-four years and 163 foster children later, the Baylesses adopted their first child, James, 5 months ago.

Project MAS

Andrea & Sabino didn’t know where to turn when they found out they would be having a baby in 5 short months. Project MAS became an immediate blessing, as they soon learned they were not alone. Other teen parents within the program grew to be their support system - a friend to call when in need or to share the excitement of a milestone in their son’s development. The family continues to prosper; both parents intend to enroll in higher education and baby Isaiah is growing into a healthy and happy toddler.

Foster Care & Adoption

To Margie and Jesus Leza, parenthood is the greatest gift they possess. When their 4 biological children were young adults, the couple knew their job as parents was far from being over. Dozens of foster children and three adopted children later, their family continues to grow. The Lezas know the love and family foundation they are able to provide are incredibly integral to each foster child’s life. When no one else came forward to say “We are here for you,” the Lezas did. Each child is welcomed into the Leza home as a brother or sister, daughter or son, and loved unconditionally as if they were their own.
